Gw rasa Spoon adalah satu band yang cukup konsisten menghasilkan album ataupun single beberapa tahun belakangan. Dalam rentang waktu satu dekade aja, ga sedikit yang mereka hasilkan baik EP maupun LP.
Transference dirilis pada pertengahan bulan ini dibawah Merge, label yang saat ini menaungi mereka setelah di-drop dari Elektra. Setelah hampir satu dekade di Merge, sekarang mereka merilis LP terbaru Transference.
Konsistensi mereka dijalur sebutlah-indie-rock ini, bukan berarti menjadi konstan juga dalam karyanya. Mungkin beberapa bunyi-bunyian yang datar di beberapa track agak membosankan, tapi secara keseluruhan ada beberapa track yang masih nempel di telinga.
Seperti “Who Makes Your Money”, vokal Britt Daniel tetap asik buat didengar. Sepertinya track pembuka album ini juga dibentuk sedemikian rupa agar pendengar baru dan penikmat lama bisa masuk ke album ini tanpa terlalu berat dalam komposisi tracknya. Simple namun seolah memperkenalkan apa yang kira-kira ada di album ini.
Yang pasti kalo demen sama hook asik indie rock, mungkin kalo belom pernah denger bisa dicoba album baru Spoon ini.
